With over 20 years experience working in Formula One, Mark became known to many during his nine years working as marketing chief at Jordan Grand Prix, later heading sponsorship for Jaguar/Red Bull Racing in 2004/05. Mark is now responsible for F1 operations at Cosworth, the World’s leading independent high performance engine supplier.
A Formula One journalist and broadcaster in the 1980s, Mark was Grand Prix correspondent for publications including the Sunday Express, also reporting and commentating on Eurosport, BBC Radio 2 Sport and IRN. He wrote extensively for specialist publications including Autosport and Motoring News in the UK, and magazines throughout Europe, North America and Japan prior to becoming a media relations consultant to major sponsors including Marlboro and Canon.
In 1990 he began working with Eddie Jordan, handling PR with the team throughout it first season, and although he then worked briefly in the British and World Rally Championships with Ford and Subaru, it was to Jordan that he returned in 1995, later becoming head of marketing and joining the management during the team's most successful years. He left in mid-2003 to work with Jenson Button's management team for six months before joining Jaguar Racing and remained with the team through its transformation into Red Bull Racing.
Mark lead the successful A1 Team Ireland in the A1 Grand Prix series as Managing Director and Team Principal. He remains a director of the Status GP team alongside Teddy Yip Jnr.
Mark's company, Eden Rock Sports, provides sponsorship, communications and management services in sport, including Formula One. He is also a prolific motivational and business speaker and has to date spoken at business conferences and events for over 150 blue-chip companies, government organisations, trade and industry bodies.
