James Allen takes the role of Conference Chair for the first time this year after appearing as a panel speaker in the 2008 Forum. James has worked in Formula 1 for 20 years as a journalist and broadcaster. James is best known for his work as lead commentator on ITV's Formula 1 coverage, which won three consecutive BAFTA awards between 2006-2008. He was with ITV for 12 years and prior to that fronted ESPN's coverage of the sport in the USA. He is currently retained by RAI TV Italy. For the past 11 years he has also been the F1 correspondent of the Financial Times. James is at the forefront of the development of online news coverage in F1 through his groundbreaking blog, www.jamesallenonf1.com and conducts the official post race driver interviews for FOM TV.
