Following a 35 year career in marketing and general management, Rob Malcolm is now teaching at the Wharton Business School, advising, consulting and writing in the marketing and innovation fields. Rob retired from corporate work in December 2008, after serving as President of Global Marketing, Sales and Innovation for Diageo for 9 years. Diageo is the world’s largest premium drinks business with iconic brands such as Johnnie, Walker, Smirnoff, Crown Royal and Captain Morgan. Under Rob’s leadership Diageo became one of the most respected brand building companies whose marketing programs have won many awards including 3 Gold Lions for best Television advertising in the prestigious Cannes festival.
Prior to Diageo, Rob spent 24 years at Procter and Gamble, in numerous marketing and general management roles in the US, Middle East and Europe. He has an MBA and Undergraduate Marketing degree from the University of Southern California. He serves on the boards of Logitech, Just Marketing Inc (the world’s largest motorsports marketing agency) and will soon be joining the board of the American Marketing Association. He previously served on the board of the Marketing Sciences Institute.
